Yoga
Benefits of Yoga
Yoga is practiced by over 20 million people in the
USA alone. Everyday people are reporting the
differences they see in their bodies and in the way
that they feel about themselves in their day to day
lives from their experiences with Yoga. Yoga has
the ability to take you from the here and now and
transport you to a place of well being. In only one
wonderful session you practice a number of things
from some wonderful Yoga poses called asanas,
breathing exercises called pranayama, meditation
and chanting techniques. Yoga is a fun and
challenging exercise there is always more to learn,
from beginning to advanced there is more to learn.
These exercises have been around for thousands of
years and have been used for feeling good about
the body and to have a healthy and long life. You
learn to energise your body and soul.
Yoga is all about feeling good, feeling the blood
surge through your entire body revitalising every
part every cell. It is great for every age group and
every cast rich to poor.
Helps In Healing
Many people have found that Yoga can help them recover
after massive car accidents where drugs and surgery
could do no more for them, it is not a miracle cure, but for
some people it has worked like one. If your doctor has told
you that you wont ever heal than ask him if Yoga is a viable
option for you and remember that if it hurts DO NOT DO
IT! It is not a contest to see who is the champion, who is
the best and the most flexible out there, it is to make you
fell good and to make you better not worse.
According to recent studies published in the Journal of
Clinical Oncology, exercise--whether traditional aerobic or
yoga--gives greater benefits to breast cancer patients and
survivors.
No on person can say how this disease will affect them
physically or mentally but in this study they found that the
patient's that practiced yoga regularly found that their
attitudes were much better and they handled the therapy
much better.
If you are thinking about doing Yoga for healing then keep
your doctor informed your doctor is there to help speak to
your instructor and tell them your fears if any and be vocal
don't hide in the back and worry, this is a very open activity
no one is there to judge you remember they started out
once to they weren't always at the front of the class
teaching it they started out in the class once also.
